The cap and trade scheme is a risky scheme courtesy of The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC or FCCC).
Here are 50 good reasons to stop Henry Taxman (D-CA), Ed Sparkey (D-MA), and the rest of the political hacks in Congress from pulling the wool over the peoples' eyes.Five of my favorites:
- The new monthly welfare check.
- Community-organizers get their piece.
- Government is selling indulgences.
- Free money for well-connected business interests.
- The candelabra clause.

Some of the real reasons for carbon trading are:
- Brokers, accountants, and financial institutions are extremely excited at the thought of the size of their cut in a new $2.3 trillion speculative market.
- Academics and financial consultants see rich pickings from becoming "experts" in the new market.
- Carbon trading is an inherently elitist, corporatist, technocratic solution.
